Who I Am

I grew up in a small town called McFarland, CA. I am currently living in Dallas now, and I like it here, but I do miss Cali.

Fitness has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I've always been an active person. I played basketball, softball, and ran track and cross country. But, when I got to high school, that's when my hate for cardio became real. I still loved playing sports, but I didn't like to run just to run.

In my P.E. class, we were required to run a mile once a week. I HATED IT!!! I, then, heard that the weight training class counted as P.E, the only thing was, we didn't have to run a mile every week! So what did I do, I signed up for that class the following semester. My life changed after that!

Weight Lifting Found Me

Ever since I took weight training in high school, when I discovered I was naturally strong, I wanted more! I wanted to be stronger. I wanted to improve my overall fitness. I wanted to be challenged! That's when I joined the Army in 2010.

I originally wanted to be in the Infantry, but at the time women weren't allowed, so I became a Chemical Specialist cause it sounded cool. Turns out, it wasn't as cool as I thought. So I decided to change my job and I became a medic! I loved it!

As my time in the Army went by, I continued to workout, but I mostly focused on training to improve my overall pt score for the Army. I would meet people in the gym and workout with them. I was constantly learning new training styles and methods.

One day, a guy approached me at the gym and asked if I compete. I didn't know anything about competing at the time, but let me tell you, ever since then I started doing my research and my goal since then was to build my body (bodybuilding).

My Life as a Medic for the Army

When I became a medic in the Army and loved it, I realized that I wanted to help people. Immediately after medic training, I went to South Korea for a year!  I want to say that was one of the best and toughest experiences of my life.

I became the Chemical Specialist for the company; I became a BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) Rep for my company and a couple months later I was voted President for the entire Army Installation working directly for the Post Command Sergeant Major; I became my Battalion's Liason, working only with company First Sergeant's and my battalion Command Sergeant Major; and I was also the lead medic for my company. I learned a lot, gained leadership experience and grew self-confidence, but also dealt with a lot of stress!

I not only trained myself, but I started to become a fitness guru and people were constantly asking me for advice and if they can train with me. I started to love training others and helping them reach their goals and I wanted to make it full time.

I served 6.5years active duty in the Army, and 3 years in the Reserves. I am currently a Master Trainer @ Legends Fit in Rockwall, TX.

What Triple Triumph Means to Me

Triple Triumph became real when I was talking to a couple friends about making inspirational shirts. It, then, turned into my fitness brand because what we stand for is what I put into my fitness.

Our slogan is “Conquer Mind, Body, & Soul”. When training, it's not easy, and it's not just the body that gets tired, but also the mind. You have to stay motivated and find the reasons why you're doing it.

At times, I wanted to quit. At times, I had to start over due to an accident where I got injured. It was tough having to start over and losing all the progress I made, but I continued on! I knew I could be better! You have to become the powerful force that even adversity kneels down to!

And I spite of having quad tendonitis, mTBI, constant neck and back strains, and recently kidney disease, I became that powerful force! And I can help you get there, too!
